Like us on Facebook! www.facebook.com Follow us on Twitter! twitter.com We take a break from mainline action to visit the West Chester Railroad. Now this isn't our first encounter with the WCRL, but we now have a chance to ride onboard the train and see the railroad up close and personal. We'll even take a ride in the cab of RS18 #1803 for the return trip from Glen Mills. So sit back and enjoy some good ol' ALCO action from beautiful Chester county! Great video. I used to live in West Chester – back when Septa still used the line. Never got to ride it. – Bill

December 9th, 2011 - 01:05
@CSX6000 Hey could you direct me to a site where I could get a map of the WCRL, the Deleware River Railroad, and the Steamtown Moscow Line. Ya know, for Lackawanna Railfest 2011?
December 9th, 2011 - 01:55
@indie1361 Hopefully they DON’T get it! I like it as the WCRL.
December 9th, 2011 - 02:28
Ahhhh, my local shortline. What I would give to have the time to volunteer there. SEPTA, with the recent increases in rail travel, probably wants the line back from the WCRL now.

@GenesisSanctuary Vandals cut the wires like 3 days before. They have a problem with vandalism on that line unfortunately. It’s amazing that they favor quite well as far at their rolling stock goes.

Excellent footage Adam! There’s nothing wuite like seeing ALCOs in action.:) The AA-2 on that Cab Car sounded like it was fairly loud. Also, I’m guessing that the crossing at Glen Mills doesn’t work?
